Don’t throw away an unnecessary bra or swimsuit: it will turn out to be a useful item for household use

Every good housewife can put any old thing into use. Many people will not even be able to imagine what can be done from an old bra so that it still brings benefits. But everything can come in handy if you have a little imagination. All you need is a little sewing and an unnecessary bra can be turned into a useful household item. And it’s not necessary for everyone to know what cute and comfortable oven mitts were made of.

In addition to the bra, which should be with foam rubber, you will also need: cotton fabric, 2 strips of fabric measuring 51×6 cm, decorative edging and bias tape.

The cups of the bodice need to be separated from the straps and fasteners, remove the bones, if any, and cut off the ears2 and seams. We leave only the foam insert.

Trace the foam rubber onto the fabric, making an allowance of 1.5 cm. Pin two layers of fabric and cut out the part. Do the same with the second cup.

Place foam from the bra between the fabric blanks and put together a sandwich using pins. Mark the lines for the stitch: draw two stripes – horizontal and vertical at a distance of 3 cm from each other, so that you get a mesh.

You can make a stitch either by hand or on a sewing machine. Smooth out the edges of the product. Take bias tape, which you can buy ready-made or make yourself, unfold it, pin it along the edge and stitch it in a circle.
