Soviet-Style Pies Recipe
Dough Ingredients:
- 500g all-purpose flour
- 250ml warm water
- 7g active dry yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 50g butter, softened
Chicken Filling:
- 1 boiled chicken breast, finely minced or ground
- 1 onion, finely chopped and fried until soft
- Salt and pepper to taste
Potato Filling:
- 4 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 1 onion, finely chopped and fried until soft
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: a small amount of butter for added richness
Cabbage Filling:
- 1/2 head of cabbage, finely shredded and stewed until soft
- 1 onion, finely chopped and fried until soft
- Salt, pepper, and optionally grated carrots for sweetness
