What solutions are available to us?
Before jumping on food supplements, include foods on the menu that help strengthen nails. Focus here on foods rich in omega-3, vitamins B, D, iron, magnesium and calcium. Eggs, fatty fish, brewer’s yeast, blueberries, whole or semi-whole grains, dried fruits, spinach, nettles, red meat and dairy products… the choice is wide! Also drink plenty of water, especially water rich in silicon and calcium, and low in sodium. Also remember to apply a balm or vegetable oils every evening before going to bed (castor, argan, sweet almond, olive, etc.). Finally, do what you can to stop biting your nails.

In each nail, we find several dozen sheets of keratin compressed together. During your weekly cleaning or when you type on the computer and do the dishes, this causes non-painful micro-trauma to the nail matrix. This then causes an anomaly in the production of nail keratinocytes which will whiten as a result. If the spots are larger (more than 1 to 3 mm), this may also be a sign of a chronic inflammatory disease: psoriasis, etc. Remember to consult.
