Apart from illness, you can “easily” get rid of yellowed nails by reducing your tobacco consumption and systematically applying a primer before the manicure or pedicure. Applying a paste of baking soda and water, hydrogen peroxide, lemon juice or toothpaste using a soft brush can also help whiten nails.
Important :
You will have understood: like skin or hair, your nails can give you clues about your health. However, this article is not intended to diagnose or treat illnesses. We therefore only mention mild symptoms that are easy to resolve by adapting your daily habits. Note that if your nails are discolored and thickened, this may be linked to nail fungus (or onychomycosis) and there are many natural remedies. However, if your nails start to deform too much or show black or brown spots, it is better to consult a doctor to rule out any doubt about a possible pathology. This can in fact be a sign of skin cancer or even a chronic illness (eczema, psoriasis, diabetes, chronic respiratory failure, high blood pressure, etc.).
