Calzone with Leafy Topping

Prepare the Filling: Chop the cooked ham, salami, and bell pepper into small pieces.

Mix Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the ham, salami, bell pepper, grated cheese, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add a bit of tomato paste and minced garlic for flavor.

Assemble the Calzones: Roll out the puff pastry slices. Place a portion of the filling on one half of each slice, leaving space around the edges. Fold the pastry over to create a pocket and press to seal.

Brush and Bake: Brush the tops with beaten egg yolks. Cut small slits in the tops to allow steam to escape.

Bake: Place on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Serve: Slice and enjoy warm with fresh tomatoes on the side!
