Chex Mix

Instructions

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Cover 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper.
Combine Rice Chex, Wheat Chex, Corn Chex, cheerios, pretzels, and nuts in a large bowl.
Whisk together the melted butter, Worcestershire Sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and Cajun seasoning together in a large measuring cup or small bowl. Drizzle the buttered mixture over the Chex mixture while stirring. Continue stirring until the mixture is coated.
Spread the mix over the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour, turning every 15-20 minutes. Rotate the baking sheets after turning the mix. Remove from the oven and cool before serving or storing.

Notes

My mix is made with equal parts rice Chex, wheat Chex, and corn Chex, but you can use any combination of these Chex cereals.
Toss the Chex Mix while you are drizzling in the butter to ensure that the entire mixture is coated. If need be, enlist a family member or friend for a couple of minutes.
Be fairly generous with the seasonings. Don’t be afraid to try the Cajun seasoning. It does not add heat. It adds flavor.
Turn the Chex mix every 15-20 minutes while it is baking, and rotate the baking sheets to ensure even baking.
Try adding bagel crisps, Goldfish, Bugles, oyster crackers, honey-roasted peanuts, or Cheez-Its to the mix.
