Dried fruits made with your own hands usually do not require special pretreatment before use. If you are sure that insects have not sat on the fruits during the drying process, simply rinse them lightly to remove dust.

However, with store-bought dried fruits, everything is not so simple.

It is often believed that if dried fruits are packaged tightly in production, they can be eaten directly from the package, especially when intended for children. Many bags are even labeled “ready to eat.” But you should not always rely on such inscriptions.
