Make the Biscuits:
Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 450Β°F (230Β°C).
Combine Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Cut in Butter: Add the cold butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add Milk: Stir in the milk until just combined.
Shape and Bake: Turn the dough onto a floured surface, pat it to 1-inch thickness, and cut out biscuits. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
Make the Gravy:
Cook Sausage: In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned.
Add Flour: Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage and stir for about 1-2 minutes.
Add Milk: Gradually pour in the milk, stirring continuously. Cook until the gravy thickens.
Season: Add salt and pepper to taste.
Serve
Split the biscuits and ladle the sausage gravy over them. Enjoy!
