I always have a supply of foam sponges, and I use them not only for washing dishes.
Fridge
Foam rubber absorbs moisture well, so I put it in those compartments of the refrigerator where excess moisture will be a hindrance, for example, on shelves with vegetables and fruits. The box is dry and vegetables last longer.
I use a sponge and baking soda to get rid of odors in the refrigerator. The sponge needs to be dry, pour a large spoonful of soda on it and place it on a shelf, preferably against the back wall. In this place, the sponge will cope with both the smell and excess moisture.
