The compartment with the Roman numeral II, Arabic 2 or the letter “B” is needed for products that are consumed during the main wash. It is used during any cycle, if you do not add the product directly to the drum.
The middle compartment is often marked with an asterisk, snowflake or flower. It is intended for air conditioners. Before you start rinsing, the machine expects you to pour into this compartment a product designed to soften and flavor things. But this is optional.
In general, these compartments were created so that the washing machine takes the necessary detergent during different wash cycles, and they do not mix.
