My dad requests this recipe all the time when he’s over the house. He just can’t seem to get enough!

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the diced onions to the skillet and cook until they become translucent.
  4. Stir in the chopped cabbage and cook until it wilts and becomes tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. While the beef, onions, and cabbage are cooking, prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish by greasing it lightly.
  6. Unroll one package of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the baking dish to form a bottom crust.
  7. Spread the cooked beef, onion, and cabbage mixture evenly over the dough.
  8. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the beef mixture.
  9. Unroll the second package of crescent roll dough and place it on top of the cheese to form a top crust.
  10. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for about 35 minutes. Then cover it with foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
