- Prepare onions: Cook frozen pearl onions in boiling water for 3-5 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.

- Create cream sauce: Gradually whisk in vegetable broth and heavy cream until thickened and smooth.
- Season sauce: Stir in nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Add half of the Parmesan cheese.
- Combine onions and sauce: Add cooked pearl onions to the skillet and stir to coat.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer creamed onions to a baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
