Pasta shells with ground Beef

Instructions:

  1. Brown the Ground Beef:
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with minced garlic, black pepper, and Sazon Perfecta seasoning. Make sure to break up the meat as it cooks.
  2. Prepare the Pasta:
While the beef is cooking, heat 1/4 cup of oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Brown the pasta shells in the oil (similar to how you would brown rice). Stir occasionally to ensure they are evenly toasted.
  3. Combine the Beef and Pasta:
Once the beef is fully cooked, drain any excess fat and add the beef to the skillet with the pasta shells.
  4. Add Liquid and Seasonings:
To the beef and pasta, add the following:

    • 4 cups of water
    • 2 tablespoons Knorr Grained Chicken Stock
    • 3 serrano pepper cubes
    • 4 tablespoons Knorr Grained Tomato Stock
    • Sliced half onion
    • 1 can of rutile (if using)
    • A handful of chopped cilantro
    • 2 packets of Sazon Rouge
    • 1 bay leaf
    • Garlic and onion powder to taste
  5. Simmer:
Stir everything together and cover the skillet. Let it cook over medium-high heat for 15-20 minutes, or until the pasta shells are soft and the flavors are well combined. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  6. Serve and Enjoy:
Once the pasta is cooked through and the liquid has been absorbed, remove the bay leaf. Serve hot and enjoy your flavorful Mexican-inspired pasta dish!
