Instructions:
- Brown the Ground Beef:
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with minced garlic, black pepper, and Sazon Perfecta seasoning. Make sure to break up the meat as it cooks. - Prepare the Pasta:
While the beef is cooking, heat 1/4 cup of oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Brown the pasta shells in the oil (similar to how you would brown rice). Stir occasionally to ensure they are evenly toasted. - Combine the Beef and Pasta:
Once the beef is fully cooked, drain any excess fat and add the beef to the skillet with the pasta shells. - Add Liquid and Seasonings:
To the beef and pasta, add the following:- 4 cups of water
- 2 tablespoons Knorr Grained Chicken Stock
- 3 serrano pepper cubes
- 4 tablespoons Knorr Grained Tomato Stock
- Sliced half onion
- 1 can of rutile (if using)
- A handful of chopped cilantro
- 2 packets of Sazon Rouge
- 1 bay leaf
- Garlic and onion powder to taste
- Simmer:
Stir everything together and cover the skillet. Let it cook over medium-high heat for 15-20 minutes, or until the pasta shells are soft and the flavors are well combined. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. - Serve and Enjoy:
Once the pasta is cooked through and the liquid has been absorbed, remove the bay leaf. Serve hot and enjoy your flavorful Mexican-inspired pasta dish!
