Cooking process:
- In a food processor, pulse the cold butter and flour together until fine crumbs form.
- Add the eggs, mayonnaise, baking powder, vanilla extract, and refined sugar to the mixture. Knead the dough thoroughly until it is soft and pliable.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for half an hour to firm up.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (about 350 degrees Fahrenheit) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
- Once the cookies are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Sprinkle the cooled cookies with powdered sugar before serving.
These cookies will make a perfect accompaniment to a relaxing tea party! Enjoy!
