This is my little secret for making sure my husband’s always in a great mood – he’s obsessed with it.

Instructions:

Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.

Mix wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

Add apples and butter: Gently fold in the diced apples and melted butter until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Shape fritters: Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping them into small mounds.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the fritters are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Prepare glaze: While the fritters are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth.

Finish and serve: Once the fritters are baked, allow them to cool for about 5 minutes before drizzling the glaze over them. Serve warm and enjoy the homey goodness!
