Treating the area against ticks
For those who prefer not to bother, the best solution would be to call specialists to treat the area with acaricides. However, if you want to save money, you can do the processing yourself.
How to determine the presence of ticks
Use a light-colored towel or piece of fabric attached to a stick as a flag and walk around the area on a sunny day. Mites, if present, will stick to the fabric. Carefully pick them up with tweezers and destroy them, for example by freezing them or burning them in alcohol.
Why you shouldn’t ignore processing
Ticks can only move when they are passengers on animals. Site treatment is effective if there are no mice or pets in your area that can bring ticks.
