Instead of barbecue, I cook ribs “Canadian style” for the holiday table: they are so delicious that words cannot describe them.

I have a great recipe for pork ribs that I found from a famous chef in Montreal. This recipe is so tasty and aromatic that I even included it in my holiday menu. I advise you to prepare a double portion at once – it will be just perfect!

Here’s how I make this recipe:

Sauce : Take a bowl and mix 100 grams of applesauce (even baby food will do) with 100 grams of ketchup. Add 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 3-4 tablespoons soy sauce and the juice of half a lemon.

Spices : After this, add half a teaspoon of dried garlic, the same amount of black pepper, sweet paprika and cinnamon. Cinnamon will give the dish a festive aroma and unique taste, but if you are not a fan of this spice, you can exclude it from the recipe. Mix all ingredients.

Marinating ribs : Take approximately 1.2 kg of pork ribs, pour the prepared marinade over them and mix thoroughly. Leave to marinate for 30 minutes, or longer if you have time.
