I found a new use for an old flannelette blanket that I thought I’d share with you.
I inherited a blanket that was striped on one side and yellow-green on the other side, which I repurposed into a rug.
To begin with, I cut the blanket into strips, each 3 cm wide.
I fold the strips in half, with the wrong side inward, and sew them together, laying them in turns. I sew the turns to each other, making lines along the entire length of the strip and connecting the sections.
Already sewing the rug, I decided that next time I would make the strips thinner and not fold them, in which case the product would turn out to be double-sided.
The bike does not come loose during use, so unclosed cuts will not be a problem.
You can form curls at your discretion; usually they are round or oval.
