Put flank steak in a slow cooker with these 3 ingredients. It will change your life.

Chipotle peppers are one of my favorite ingredients to add a little heat to the table, and flank steak is one of my preferred cuts of meat for the slow cooker. When they come together in the recipe below, it creates a wonderfully spicy meal. Plus, the beef becomes so tender it practically falls apart, which actually helps it soak up all that delicious sauce.

Speaking of the sauce: Many people simply cook the meat and peppers together, then shred it for tacos. That’s a fantastic option, but you can also thicken the sauce with a bit of cornstarch and serve it alongside your favorite rice or potato dish.

Ingredients:

1 3-pound flank steak, scored
1 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
2 canned chipotle peppers, plus 1 tablespoon of extra adobo sauce
1 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon cornstarch
